Hard DRive Windows
Window 10 has a very good back up built in. The issue can be in the speed of the drive you are backing up to. If you choose a slow drive when you go to restore the backup information, back onto the computer due to the sheer size of the file you can be there for a few hours.

Apple Back up
Most people have Apple computers as I write these line I am using one. The Apple backup software is brilliant and consistent. The other bonus is you should backup your ipad or iphone to the Apple Mac first then do the backup.
