Printer issues
The printer is lost or doing not what it is told. Sometimes I think they just get emotional. But really there are few things that just work.
No more slow tape drives. Phew.
Uninstall the printer
Yes, I know you hate the idea of reinstalling the printer. Most of the time what has happened is a software update from another program has corrupted the printer software or driver.
By the time you have tried to work it out you have wasted an hour. Computers and interconnection of software is so complicated it is just not worth your time to find the issue.
URGENT Printing - Go USB
If you need to print immediately just go the USB cable and restart your computer. Plug the USB to the printer directly to your computer it should find and install the software and allow printing immediately.
Backup before it dies.
Cloud Backup
Android printing
Android printing did run through Google Cloud Printing but the new method is via an app. In the manual I have taken the time to install the printing on a Android tablet and plenty of screenshots to show you how easy it is now. Takes same time as installing an app.
